Premier League weekend 7: Reports and Analysis – Part 1

Toothless Tottenham
Tottenham 0 West Ham 3
Tottenham’s impressive start to the league campaign suffered a serious blow after their disappointing 3-0 defeat at home to an injury hit West Ham side. Both the team cancelled out each other in the first half, while the second-half saw West Ham play with more incisiveness resulting in 3 brilliant goals from Winston Reid, Ricardo Vaz Te and Ravel Morrison.
Though Tottenham manager André Villas-Boas have assembled a very talented squad, none of the players seem to have goals in them. Soldado looks like a disappointment when it comes to putting away the chances while summer buys Eric Lamela, Eriksen and Paulinho are all more like creators than finishers.

Liverpool 3- Crystal Palace 1
The situation at Liverpool is exact opposite to Tottenham with the Reds having two of the best strike partnership in Premier league in the form of Suarez and Sturridge. The pair will surely score more than 20 goals each if they remain injury free, but unlike Tottenham, Liverpool lack  the creative players around them other than Brazilian star Coutinho.
With the Strongest attack and very notable defensive wealth of Agger, Skrtel, Sakho, Toure, Johnson, Enrique, Cissokho  the Reds arguably have the strongest  attack and defense. If Liverpool manage to keep their thin midfield injury free at least till January then the Reds have a very good chance of proving the doubters wrong and finishing in the top four.
